Description:
This scholarship seeks to reward an ambitious high achiever with an interest in the field of journalism and/or blogging, while fostering the interest in this field.
Amount Awarded:
$1,000.
Requirements:
- Bloggers must submit articles consistently to a source/platform outside of Honor Society for a full semester in order to be eligible for this scholarship.
- Up to 500 words describing the relevance of writing to your major, life, or goals. This scholarship is meant to boost the writing careers of potential bloggers while helping them build an online portfolio.
Please note: A confirmation of consistent submissions (with at least one successful, published submission), with the subjects pertaining to anything education, high school or collegiate related will be required before scholarship funds are released to recipients. This can be in the form of blogs, videos, etc..

Criteria:
Based on relevance and writing consistency. Rubric will be used to score applicants. If there is a tie, winner will be selected at random from tied applicants.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Application is open to all.
- Applicant must write articles for sources outside of Honor Society with the topics ranging from: education, higher education, high school, college, tips and tricks for students, relevant topics in an ever-changing world (i.e. many schools moving to online programs, etc.)
Rolling Deadline. This scholarship has rolling monthly application deadlines. Students applying earlier will have a greater chance of winning.
Announcement of recipients
We've streamlined and improved our scholarship award process! Recipients can first expect to hear back within 3 weeks of the award's selection. Within 6 weeks, the recipients will be publicly announced on the website, in our monthly newsletter and through social media. As scholarships are announced on a rolling basis, applications will be considered for up to 3 months after their submission. Feel free to apply with an updated application after 3 or more months of initial submission.
