Honors and Awards

"Best Teammate" award
This award was given to me for my freshman year of high school. I received this award for always helping my teammates when they are in need. I was so thrilled to know that my team considered me their best teammate. I will continue to be a great teammate.
Rookie of the Year
This award means that I was one of the important “new recruits” to the team. I was honored to be considered the rookie of the year that year. This award is important to me because it gives me confidence in knowing that I brought a lot to the team.
Cheerleader of the Month
cheerleader of the month is someone who is seen pushing through every routine, keeping a positive attitude throughout everything, and hitting all of their stunts to the best of their ability.
KEES Money
I have been awarded $2,000 total in KEES money. This is due to my exceptional ACT score and GPA.
All A honor roll
Throughout my high school experience, I have maintained all A's.
Fundraising award
I was awarded an echo dot by my coach because I sold the most clothing from our store! I am proud of this award because it shows that I am dedicated to fundraising for my cheer team.
Student of the month
I was awarded student of the month, which is January. My very sweet AP Biology teacher wrote this about me: “Avery works so hard and completes all of her work as expected. She is a wonderful Biology student and goes the extra mile!”
Sophomore Representative
My sophomore year of highschool, I was chosen to be sophomore representative along with one of my other friends. I had to campaign for this position, and was voted for by the student body. This position meant a lot to me.
Freshman class Secretary
I was freshman class secretary my freshman year. I was chosen for this position by the head of the student council. I am proud of this accomplishment because I was contributing something to the student council, instead of just being a general member.
ACT 25+
I have taken the ACT many times and have a composite score of 28 and a super-score of 29.
Transition ready
In the state of Kentucky, our school is held accountable for students being transition ready, whether it is college ready or career ready. I am college ready because I have met all minimum benchmarks on the ACT.
Governor's Scholar
In the summer of 2021, I had the honor of attending the Governor's Scholars Program and graduating as a Governor's Scholar. The GSP was an extraordinary experience, and I am very honored and gratful that I was given an opportunity to be a part of it.

I've been recommended to take multiple acceleration classes throughout my high school career. This is because I am above average in English, Math, and Science. These awards/recommendations are important because it shows that I am a fast pace learner.

I was invited to be a part of my school’s Beta club because I have above a 3.5 GPA. This invitation is a great honor for me because I get to be a part of something that makes an impact on the world.
NHS invitation
I am proud to have been chosen for this group because it shows that I have leadership and character. This is important to be because making an impact on the world is important to me.
Explore club invitation
Explore club is a club that I was a part of to get me ready for the GSP application. Unfortunately, this club wasn't run like normal due to COVID. However, I am still honored to be a part of it because it shows that I had what it took to be in the GSP!
SOS (sources of strength) peer leader
Being a sources of strength peer leader is a position that I was recommended, and appointed for. Being a peer leader means that I am a good role model for the rest of the students in my school. I am glad that my counselors have seen my potential.

Hobbies

I am a cheerleader. I have been cheering for my school as well as other gyms since the 6th grade. Cheer-leading has given me life long friendships, a way to be active, and something fun to be a part of. I wouldn't choose any other sport to play. I love being a cheerleader. I am also a pianist. I have been taking piano lessons since I was six years old. I recently took a break from taking lessons, however I've made an effort to start taking them again. This has been difficult due to COVID, so I have been playing the piano on my own until lessons open back up again. Additionally, I am a server at Cracker Barrel. I enjoy my job because the Cracker Barrel team is very nice, and I make good money. I usually go in for 4 hour shifts, and work as hard as I can. Lastly, I am a high school student. I go to school from 7:45 am- 12 pm every day. I take two dual credit classes, and a Biomedical Innovations class at JCTC. I take College Algebra and MSU English Writing 100. I get to leave school at 12 because I am ahead of the game, and have taken all the classes I need to graduate already. I have work block and make my way over to Cracker Barrel after school.
