I Once Was a Tree

I once was a tree.

I now set souls free.

As she pours her heart out, onto the surface of my skin, about how she could never trust again.

Yet, here she is having a "tell-all" onto me.

She trust me. And she should.

I just wish she trusted herself; her own ability.

Because I once was a tree.  I now set souls free.

I am glad I became a tree, and not money.

I would very much prefer to be the root of her sanity, as opposed to the root of all evil.

Evil surrounds her. Ruthless men and women.

Yet she still wants to love.  Honestly convinced that all this world needs is love.  All this evil world needs is love.

I guess one day the world could be full of peace; full of unity.

The world could go from misery - to bliss.

I went from throwing shade - to this.

Remember, I once was a tree.  I now set souls free.

Once she gets that urge, she grabs the pen, handles me ever so gently and goes to work.

She says I take away her hurt, take away her pain.

Truth is, she does this.

She finds the courge to write, to elaborate on her pain.

In that moment, she is healed.

In that moment she breaks the chains a little more.
