About

I am a Norwegian international student at Wingate University, where I am studying for a B.S. degree in Chemistry with minors in Physics, Math, and Communication. I competed for my university for four years as a collegiate swimmer in NCAA Division II, where I became an honorable mention All-American; I have also won several medals in the Norwegian national championships. I will be graduating in May 2017, and have been accepted into the M.S. program in Nanoengineering at UC San Diego for the fall quarter in 2017.

My goal is to pursue a career in nanotechnology where I can contribute to alleviating important environmental issues. I wish to work in a company where the mission is to make a positive environmental impact through products based in nanotechnology.

I believe that the holistic understanding of the sciences that I have developed during my time at Wingate University will be essential in the process of achieving my goals. Through my experience as a competitive swimmer I have developed the ability to work hard for and remain committed to my goals over extended time periods, and I have acquired excellent time management skills in the process.
