Currently a freshman at the University of Houston-Main, Belshady Amanuel balances college courses with other on campus activities and leadership positions. She currently serves as the Residential Advocacy Chair for the Quadrangle Residence Complex. She will also be serving as a cell-leader starting this spring semester (2016) for Believers Love World Campus Ministry, an organization that strives to preach the unadulterated gospel of Jesus Christ to the UH campus community. She also hopes to be of encouragement to fellow Christian women around the world via contributions to Memoirs of A Virtuous Woman blog. Ms. Amanuel is also an active member of Bethesda International Church where she serves as leader of Gilead Youth Fellowship, a newly founded youth spiritual, social, and economic empowerment group that specifically aims to better the lives of young Ethiopian nationals, as well as Ethiopian Americans. She is fluent in both Amharic and English languages.
