Benjamin Sibelman

My greatest professional ambition is to create products and services that help people live their values and make a difference in the world. To that end, I'm looking to make a career change from software engineering to UX design, which is why I'm getting a Master's in Human-Centered Design and Engineering at the University of Washington.

I've worked in the software industry for twelve years, ten of them at Microsoft. My most recent project there was an app for the cutting-edge HoloLens platform, built using the Unity game engine. In addition to my strong programming skills, I also have training and volunteer experience in graphic design and basic website design, as well as amateur experience across a variety of other media. I'm an excellent writer, a confident speaker and collaborator, and a deeply involved citizen working to protect democracy and help create a world where all beings can thrive together.
