About
I am a student attending the University of Alabama located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I am involved in many clubs on campus including Al's Pals, Best Buddies, the sorority Alpha Omicron Pi, and Beat Auburn Beat Hunger. Al's Pal's is a program where I mentor a 1st grade student at a local elementary school once a week. Best Buddies is a buddy system where students spend time with college students with Down Syndrome and create events for their personal enrichment. Beat Auburn Beat Hunger is a club that works towards feeding the needy of Alabama. Due to our rivalry with Auburn, we compete to see who can raise more food for the people of Alabama.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend to become a special education teacher working in a self-contained classroom that tailors their work to support the needs of severely disabled children. I hope to be employed at a public school where my students will be given the opportunity to be surrounded in a school where there is plenty of diversity.
- Graduate school interests
I intend to continue my graduate studies at Columbia University in New York. I plan to obtain my masters in teaching.
- Outside the classroom
My hobbies include yoga, as I am working towards becoming a certified teacher through the Yoga Alliance. I enjoy reading a good fiction book in my free time. In the summers I like to spend my time at the beach. I also love adventures such as hiking and exploring unfamiliar cities.
