Bianca Mitchell

My name is Bianca Mitchell; I am 22 year old, my birthday is July 8, 1994. I was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL by my single mother Barbara Mitchell. As a child I always wanted to become a nurse. For example, I use to play with my sibling’s with our baby dolls and always want them to get injured just so I can play like I was making our dolls feel better. Another example, is my grandmother use to sew before she passed and she taught me, I use to cut my dolls faces in half and sew them back together (crazy huh) she use to always say you gone to be someone doctor someday, and my respond was always "no granny I'm going to be a nurse". Being a nurse is my passion and as I continued with my education especially my high school years I became more involve. I graduated from Asa. Philip. Randolph High School (2012) which is a high school with different majors including nursing that you enter and graduate with some sort of certificate to start work right after graduation. I graduated with being a certified nursing assistant and medical tech. That was just the start; but that's what let me know that nursing was really my destiny after graduating and being able to work with different patients, and falling in love with what I do. After graduation I then applied to Florida State College of Jacksonville in 2014 and started to earn my Associate of Science Degree and now December 2016 I will be graduating my Associate of Science Degree and attend FAMU nursing program starting upcoming January (2017).
