Bibiana Alvarez

I’m a full time Registered Dietitian at a Dialysis unit in NYC. I was born in Colombia and at the age of 14 migrated to the United States to be reunited with my mother and siblings. After graduating from High School I moved to Buffalo to begin my undergraduate studies at SUNY College at Buffalo.I completed my Bachelors with a major in Dietetics and a minor in French. Upon graduation I moved back to NYC where I had the great opportunity to work in a variety of healthcare institutions. I later enrolled at NYIT graduate program in clinical nutrition and subsequently completed my RD internship. Becoming a Registered Dietitian allowed me to explore other areas of nutrition such as kidney disease which had always been one of my interests.
