About

I have always wanted to be a notable political figure. Becoming a politician is my main goal. After Graduating from High School at the age of 17, my family and I had decided that in order to achieve my goal I had to pursue my education elsewhere. I am from Mauritania. Mauritania is a country that is located in the northwest side of Africa. I came in the U.S on July 2012. I attended Brookhaven Community College from fall 2012 to spring 2016. I graduated from there with an Associate degree in arts. It took me four years to graduate from there because I had to learn how to speak and write in English. In 2012, I was only a French speaker. I have graduated from Brookhaven College with honors with a GPA of 3.8. Now I am attending the University of Texas at Arlington. This past fall semester was my first semester at this institution. My first semester at UTA went really well. I passed all my classes with A’s. My current GPA is a 4.000.

Goals and interests

Career goal

After receiving my PhD. In political science, I intend to apply to the United Nations Institution. I believe that if I get the opportunity to work for such a notable Institution, I will gain a lot of experience that will definitely help me to achieve my main goal which is becoming a notable politician figure.

Graduate school interests

After getting my undergraduate in Political Science from the University of Texas at Arlington, I intend to pursue my studies at UTA because I feel really comfortable at this institution. I am also thinking about to attend a law school such as Baylor Law School and the University Of Texas School of law.

Outside the classroom

My hobbies vary from playing sport to learn new things on my own. I like playing soccer and video games, and also going to the Gym. I believe that being in a good health is as important that getting an education. I also like watching documentaries in general. My favorite documentaries are documentaries about famous and infamous historical figures of the world such as Nelson Mandela and Joseph Vissanovitch Djougachvili also known as Joseph Staline. Watching documentaries makes me know more about the world and other cultures. I am very fond of having knowledge about people traditions and other cultures. In Mauritanie, where I come from, there are approximately five different cultures. Since a young age, I have been introduced to those different cultures. It made me become a person that always wants to know why people act in different ways.
