Blaine Kipp

I am a senior at Strake Jesuit College Preparatory High School in Houston, Texas. I have consistently achieved academic honors, earning a 4.31 GPA, an ACT score of 34, and SAT score of 1510 and a 1520 superscore. I have delivered consistent high performance in advanced coursework and strong preparation for the rigorous STEM curriculum in college. My Advanced Honors (AC) and AP Course work include: AP World History, AP U.S. History,
AC English 2, AP English Language & Composition, AP English Literature, AC Algebra 2/Trigonometry 2, AP Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus BC, AC Chemistry 1, AP Biology, AP Physics 1, AP Economics (Macro & Micro), Engineering & Design Analysis - Dual Enrollment. I am a member of National Honor Society, recognized for excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. I was awarded Strake Jesuit Principal’s Honor Roll for highest Academic Honors. I was recognized by College Board National Recognition Program Award – School Recognition Award for outstanding academic achievement and as a College Board AP Scholar for earning a 3 or higher on 3 or more AP Exams. I was recognized among the high achievers at Strake Jesuit and Ray Dass Merit Program. I am active in my school community where I have been a Student Ambassador for 4 years. I hosted prospective students: showcasing classes, facilities, and student life. I also assisted with special events by giving tours and greeting families. I am president of the Strake Jesuit Magic The Gathering Club, where I plan, organize, and lead club meetings and events. I am a Ciszek Leader (a peer appointed leadership position for school advisory group) where I am responsible for creating and building community and a commit to being a witness of engagement. As a captain the varsity club volleyball team, I enjoy leading our team and mentoring the development of younger players. I played travel volleyball for Skyline, where I was award "Best Defensive Player of the Year". During my freshman year, I played football and lacrosse. I am passionate about giving back and serving in my community in a variety of ways. I was a Vacation Bible School Leader at Westbury Baptist Church. I served at the Genuine Cup, a global soccer tournament for athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I regularly serve at Cristo Rey Jesuit College Preparatory High School Volunteer a private Jesuit high school that provides a college preparatory education exclusively to low-income families. I volunteer at Strake Jesuit running concessions sales, helping out with events and fundraisers, and assisted the hockey team as a videographer filming games for team review. I volunteer often at the Houston Food Bank among others.
