Breanna (Bree) Strough

Hello, darlings.... I’m enchanted to meet you. My name is Bree. I'm a 20-year-old genderqueer person (pronouns: they/them/their or she/her/hers) originally from Crescent City, Illinois. I moved to Bridgman, Michigan when I was 14 and my parents divorced. As of the summer of 2015, I live in Mount Pleasant in the older part of town, not too far from where I go to school: Central Michigan University. I not only take classes here but also LARP (live action role play)! It's a lot of fun and I really enjoy it. Games with which I am involved: Accord, Vampire the Masquerade, Vampire de Requiem, Mage the Awakening.

I have 2 majors, a minor, and an additional concentration of study:

Major: Psychology and Women's Studies (also called Women and Gender Studies or Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies)

Minor: Sociology

I am also going for a creative writing certificate, meaning I study creative writing as a concentration other than a major or minor. :)

Writing is something about which I am very passionate. I'm also an avid reader. Poetry, science fiction, fantasy, and horror are my favorite genres to read and write. Because of that, my goal is to become an author/poet that focuses on these genres. I will likely incorporate my own feminism into my stories at well. Additionally, I want to be a therapist (also known as a clinical psychologist) and help teens and young adults struggling with depression and other illnesses and problems.

I'm a feminist, human rights activist, and a liberal/democrat (borderline socialist). Additionally, I am an atheist.

TITLES RECEIVED IN HIGH SCHOOL: Geometry Student of the Year, Algebra 1 & 2 Student of the Year, Student of the Month, Most Likely to be Voted President, Alto Section Leader (Choir), Walking Encyclopedia (Given to those with extensive knowledge in many subjects), #1 Chemistry Student of the Year, 6th out of the Top Ten Seniors (6th highest GPA)
