Brian Jeffrey Deangelis

Currently a Film Production Major and full-time student at UC Santa Cruz, I have spent my high school and college years producing, directing, editing, writing for, and acting in several creative productions. With a background in film, video editing, audio recording/editing, vocal music, and theater, I have a diverse range of creative interests and enjoy working in each of these fields.

As an Eagle Scout and a member of St. Simon's Catholic Church, I have devoted myself to spreading moral strength and social awareness through my work in film and television. My long term goal is to produce narrative-style feature films which realistically document important but underrated subtleties of modern American culture and society, so as to unmask social and political tragedies which fail to appear in mainstream national discussion.

I presently assist in the production of SCTV28's "On the Spot," a local Santa Cruz television program which features several student based television shows broadcast both live and taped from the UC Santa Cruz Press Center. Here I have produced, written, directed, edited, and acted for shows such as "Press Center Live," a live sketch comedy show broadcast every other Thursday at 8pm. I am also one of six members on the UCSC Program Review Committee which reviews all UCSC press media content prior to online publication.
