About
My name is Brianna Jefferson and I am currently attending the University of Southern Mississippi. I graduated from South Pike High School in May of 2019. I am working very hard to achieve my goal as becoming a nurse practitioner. It is in my heart to become a nurse practitioner because I've always felt the need to help people. It warms my heart to see these wonderful people put a beautiful smile on their face. As of right now, I am a sales associate at Belk. My job is to assist my customers with any help they may need and make their visit to Belk a meaningful memory. I have been working for this company since October of 2019 and plan on working there until I achieve my bachelor's degree in nursing. After I've achieved my bachelor's degree, I have plans to attend graduate school until I get my nurse practitioner license. As far as school, I have a GPA of 3.359. I have all A's and B's and two C's. My C's are in human A&P 1 and English 2. The reason I received that grade was because I was struggling from taking these courses online as result of the pandemic. I am not an online person so my grade in those two classes started to drop a little because I was not very comfortable with the information that my teachers were distributing. Now that I have gotten a little more comfortable with online classes, I plan on achieving all A's for my courses this upcoming semester. I strive for excellent grades because I want to have a higher chance of getting accepted into the nursing program.

During this present year, I am taking the prerequisite courses to be able to apply to nursing school. If God says the same, I plan on being admitted to the nursing program for the fall of 2021. After two years of nursing school, I plan on receiving my bachelors degree in nursing in the year 2023. As of right now, I want to work for the state of Louisiana, preferably in Slidell. Once I have gotten comfortable with working, I plan on attending graduate school to work towards my masters degree and later work towards nurse practitioner.

Volunteering
-
I volunteered for Salvation Army twice for the month of December. I rang the bell in front of our local shopping mall and at the entrance of our Walmart. I rang the bell to encourage others to make a donation to Salvation Army. Salvation Army would then take the money and feed and supply the homeless.
