About

I am proud to say that I always have a plan. I will be graduating with my Associate's in Spring 2017 from Scott Community College but my learning experience does not end there. In the Fall, I will be transferring to Western Illinois University in hopes of being accepted into the integrated program for my Master's degree in business. I plan to be a part of the Honor's program and other extra curricular activities to have an even greater opportunity to get involved in my community and helping people. I enjoy learning about new things and the more I learn the more I take advantage of opportunities to help others. The next step I will take after I graduate will also be in service to others because I plan to help families and small businesses who may not have the resources to become more successful financially.

Goals and interests

Career goal

Growing up in a single parent household was tough and money was always tight. Although my mom worked hard to provide for my brother and I, we still struggled. When I moved out, I made sure I had a plan to prosper in my new adventure. I watched my mom struggle to afford to take care of us and I learned from her the value of money. I currently struggle as well and hope in my future career to help others understand that finances are a burden that can be overwhelming but there is always a way to achieve financial freedom when you work hard at it. I plan to contribute to society by learning and showing others how they can be a more productive member of society. I feel my field of study is important because money has become a necessity to provide and survive. Everyone has the ability to become "financially fit" if they are given the right information and resources. I look forward to working with many people and small businesses to show them the knowledge I have and will acquire in my field.
