About

Upon graduating from Moon Area High School in 2012, I attended La Roche College for Interior Design, and then followed by Graphic Design. While spending time in both majors has informed my artistic skill sets, I felt that neither major would lead to a truly fulfilling career path for me. I then transferred to CCBC and CCAC where I completed an Associates Degree in Psychology to use towards a dual major in Art Therapy and Psychology. I am currently working on this dual major degree at Carlow University.

Goals and interests

Career goal

Upon graduating with my Bachelors Degrees, I plan on interning or working at an entry level position in the field of Art Therapy or Psychology until I complete my Masters degree in Art Therapy. At that time I'd like to work with patients of all ages and walks of life and specialize in PTSD treatment and recovery from trauma. My end goal is to be experienced enough to have my own art studio and counseling center where my clients can have unlimited use of studio space and materials as well as seeking private sessions to do art and counseling with me one-on-one.

Graduate school interests

While I do plan on completing a masters degree, I have not looked in-depth enough at any one school to have any informed idea of where I'd like to attend.

Outside the classroom

Im an artist by practice. I am most proficient in different mediums of painting and drawing, however, I do dapple in other creative pursuits. I am self-taught in photography, I occasionally do floral arranging, paper crafting, and scrapbooking. To say that I am a beginner with sewing is generous to say the least, but I do also plan on learning how to knit and crochet. I plan on integrating these creative outlets into my practice as an art therapist.
