About

My name is Brittney Richards and I am currently a senior at Washington State University

I am a well-rounded college student, recognized for my organizational skill, good work-ethic and dedication to earning superior grades. Throughout my years in school I have learned to work well with others and to adapt easily to changes. I am a very flexible person. As a senior I have a certified major in psychology with a minor in human development and sociology. In addition to my academic curriculum I have been involved in various organizations. These organizations consist of Black Women’s Caucus, Gods Harmony, YWCA and Black Student Union. Previously, I was the secretary of Black Women’s Caucus for the 2012-2013 academic school year and was on the committee for African American Scholars through the Admissions office.

Separate from my academic activities I have made time to give back to my community by working with the military, interning at our capitol as a house page and working with the organization like Stand for Children. My most recent volunteer work is centered on Women’s Transit ran by the coalition of women students as well as working with the World Computer Exchange. These experiences have taught me to be organized, a team player, and taught me good analyzing skills. Being a student has given me good communication skills, verbal and written, while working within my community has made me a better individual.

My work experience while in school includes working with the admissions office as well as Student Financial Services. From 2011-2013 I worked as a cougar connector for the admissions office serving as an ambassador. I worked multiple visitation events for the university including coordinating one of them called African American Scholars. I currently am employed at Student Financial Services where I am senior communication representatives. These two jobs have definitely contributed to my development as a well-rounded student and person.

I would love to introduce myself in person and have the opportunity to showcase who I am.
