I am a Junior at Texas Southern University. My major is Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

Student Ambassador

This year I was accepted into the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Student Ambassador program. As an organization, we are the bridge between the college and student relations. Our job is to set up community outreach events and grassroots planning.
LEAP Research Fellowship

This is a summer internship and research opportunity for science majors to participate in academic research on a topic pertaining to their major. This program gives students a true experience of what research entails.

Career goal: I plan on working in a hospital setting as dietitian. However, I have not planned decided on a concentration. I am interested in Sports Performance, Renal, Transplant, or Weight loss Dietetics.
Graduate school interests: I am interested in UT Health and UTMB in Texas as a Graduate and Internship Program Hybrid.
Outside the classroom: I am an ammeter bodybuilder, so my hobbies include weight training and bodybuilding competitions. I also love to share my passion and knowledge for nutrition with my community. So, I provide Pro Bono nutrition services for people at my gym.

I am currently volunteering as a student ambassador at Texas Southern University. As an organization we assist faculty to put together different events on campus. For example, we helped organize this year's graduation ceremony.
