Brooke Lakin

Currently I am employed as an Assistant Professor at Roane State Community College. I enjoy this role working with first year nursing students just beginning their career in nursing. With the completion of the degree I am currently working on I would love to continue to work with undergraduate nursing students and also teach in higher level classes such as MSN or Doctorate level classes.

Currently I am enrolled in an EdD in Instructional Leadership for Nurse Educators. With this degree I would love to use it to enhance the teaching I am currently doing with undergraduate nursing students. I love learning about new ideas and new ways to educate by implementing technology and using that new and improved ways of teaching. I love telling my fellow faculty members what I am learning and improving the program I am currently working in as a faculty member.

In my spare time I love to play with my two children, Noah and Allie, and go on dates with my husband Jon. I love to read anything by Karen Kingsbury. I also love to spend time with my extended family and going outdoors to have fun and make memories.
