About

My name is Bryan Aragon, and I attend Fresno Adventist Academy as a senior. I was thrilled to get an invitation to join our chapter of the Honor Society (HS). I never believed I would obtain an invitation due to the fact that I struggled to pass classes as a freshman. Fortunately, by the conclusion of my sophomore year, I had begun to improve my grades. I am deserving of membership in the H.S.because I am always working to better myself. Due to the fact that I am a very devoted individual, I am able to do tasks promptly and accurately.
By giving back to the community, I embody the values of the Honors Society.
I volunteered to work at the Vacation Bible School (VBS) in my local church during the summer. This one-week summer program is designed for teens and children. It emphasizes teaching students about God, the arts, and athletics. I volunteered in multiple departments, including the kitchen, the basic classroom, and the cradle-roll classroom. My mother is in charge of food distribution at my church, so I assist her on Tuesdays, Fridays, and occasionally on the weekends. Most of the time, I prepare the food for distribution, and on occasion, I accompany my parents to the Foodbank facility to retrieve the food. Since I enjoy doing it, I generally enjoy being there.
In the summer of 2022, I also worked in the maintenance department for my school as a student employee. At times, the heat and humidity of July made me want to quit. I had some drive inside of me to keep going. I would constantly strive to improve my work quality. My supervisor always told me, “Your job represents who you are." Therefore, I always sought to do my best. I would come to work at approximately 7:40 each morning, and by the time my day was scheduled to end, we had completed all of our daily tasks. I was astounded by how much we had completed in such a short time, and we were all ecstatic with the quality of the work we had produced. All of these experiences have enhanced my leadership, communication, teamwork, and creative abilities.
One of my objectives, as I draw closer to the end of my time spent in high school, is to make certain that I have taken advantage of all of the possibilities that have been made available to me. If admitted into the NHS, I will push myself out of my comfort zone to strengthen my leadership skills and become a person whom others can look up to and say, "This person was a great influence upon the community." Despite the fact that I am certainly not perfect, I commit to being the best version of myself and to inspiring others to do the same. It is an honor to be considered for membership in the H.S., and I appreciate the time and effort you have invested in reading my essay. I look forward to receiving feedback in the coming days and thank you again for the opportunity.
