About

While in high school I was able to complete and transfer over 20 hours of college credit my first semester of college. With the credit, I was able to carry over, I was considered a sophomore in my second semester. I am now eligible to apply to the nursing program a whole year earlier than my classmates.

Goals and interests

Career goal

During my nursing career, I plan to work in pediatric hospitals to help some of the most severe cases that occur in children. I specifically want to work in surgery and be in the operating room, I feel this is where I can have the most impact. I want to work in hospitals where I can help underprivileged children and families and give them quality medical care that they might not otherwise receive.

Graduate school interests

Once I have a few years of experience, I would like to go back to school and earn my CRNA, a Nurse Anesthetist. I feel that with this advanced degree, I can help make a huge impact on children and their time in the operating room.

Outside the classroom

Some of my hobbies include spending time with my friends and family. I really enjoy going camping with my family. We always have a big group of our family and it's really fun to enjoy spending time with everyone. I also really enjoying reading, I always have to browse the book sections and see what new books I want to read.
