About

I am the Executive Director of Soulful Staples Inc., a 501(c)(3) virtual food pantry serving food-insecure families in Jacksonville, Florida. As a U.S. Army veteran and Master of Public Administration candidate at Purdue University Global, I bring a combination of military discipline, legal studies, and community-rooted nonprofit leadership to everything I do. My work is grounded in daily presence, not distant observation. I show up, I ask questions, and I listen to what my community needs before I decide what to build. As a mentor, I am committed to helping others find the same clarity I have found: that purpose is the foundation, and everything else follows from there.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended path is consumer law, where I plan to use my background in legal studies, public administration, and community advocacy to protect everyday people from systems that were not built with them in mind. I have always believed that the law should serve the people closest to the problem, and that is exactly where I intend to stand.

Graduate school interests

My graduate studies center on public finance, program evaluation, and policy analysis. I am particularly interested in how public systems are funded, who those systems actually serve, and what happens when the data says one thing and the community says another. My academic work is an extension of my on the ground experience, and I bring both into every course I take.

Outside the classroom

Outside of my professional and academic life, I am a creative at heart. Music has always been a part of how I process the world and express what words alone cannot carry. Fitness is a daily discipline, a carry over from my military background that keeps me grounded and sharp. I also create content across TikTok and Facebook, using social media as a tool to educate, connect, and amplify the mission of Soulful Staples. For me, hobbies are never separate from purpose. They are just purpose showing up in a different form.

Volunteering

  • I volunteer through Soulful Staples Inc., where my community work goes far beyond organizational leadership. I am present daily, connecting families to resources, mentoring emerging advocates, and doing the kind of work that does not show up on a resume but changes lives. I also carry a deep commitment to my fellow veterans, honoring the service of those who gave what I gave and supporting the transition from military life to civilian purpose. Mentorship is not something I do on the side. It is woven into everything I build.
