Bwayisak Tanko

I was born in the village of Bambuka, in Taraba State, Nigeria. My parents moved to the town of Jalingo, Nigeria when I was just a little girl. They believed for us to get a better shot at life, leaving our village to the suburb was an unnegotiable decision.
After high school, I yearned to have a better view of life from the angles the people in bigger towns stand, so I moved a city bigger for my Tertiary education. While in school, I networked and interacted with other students from different part of Nigeria, sharing stories about my small town with them. This got me the tittle; "The Story Teller", as this birthed a story telling passion in me.
Upon graduation, I moved to a much bigger city ; Lagos( commercial Capital of Nigeria), where I worked with a Radio station as a volunteer presenter, then worked as a screen writer for a content development company. Later on, I proceeded to starting a career in film and communications, where as a start up, I have been creating short stories and posting them on social media.
I am particularly proud of a post Election violence campaign ad I created in 2019 and the impact it made on my people.
In a bid to improve myself, so that I can pour out more to my society, I recently to enrolled into a graduate school In USA, where I will major in Communications and would be working as an Associate producer for an Office Of Electronic media.
I would say, My life has always been on the move due to the fact that I do not want to settle for less and I would love to be more and give more to my community and the world at Large.
