About
My name is Cade Hamil and I was raised on a cattle ranch in Sumner, Texas. I am the sixth generation on this cattle ranch. I grew up working cattle, baling hay, and feeding cattle. Though the years of living and working on the ranch I have come to appreciate the freedom and lifestyle of the ranching industry.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
It is my goal to earn a degree in Animal Science with a minor in Animal Nutrition. With an Animal Nutrition degree I would implement a new feeding program on our ranch to help our cattle finish out better in a more econicomical manner. Ultimately, I would like to start a meat selling operation. My meat selling operation would help supply the community with a better quality of meat and help sustain our family cattle ranch for future generations.
- Outside the classroom
While working on our family ranch I was able to find one of my favorite hobbies, team roping. I discovered this hobby by doctoring sick calves that were out in the pasture. If a calf or cow was sick we would go rope it and doctor it; from that point I transitioned roping to the arena.
