Goals and interests

Career goal

I intend to seek out a placement as a TA once in grad school, and then seek a job as an Assistant Professor of Archaeology or Anthropology.

Graduate school interests

I wish to earn a PHD in either Archaeology, Anthropology, or another subfield of Anthropology. When I pick, I will be taking into account what focus I preferred during my Bachelor's program, and which of these are offered by my choice of grad school.

Outside the classroom

I like to paint and draw when inspiration hits. I don't read near as much as I would like to, but I read several short stories and/or flash fictions a day. I like to write when I can, but struggle to find time. I am currently outlining a potential fantasy novel. I shoot on my school's archery team. Recently, I have also started knitting.

Volunteering

  • Osage Caring Projects is a Christmas Program helping to provide presents for struggling families in Osage County, MO. I help officially twice a year: once when the sponsors drop off the gifts, and then when the families come to pick them up. I help with moving and organizing the presents, and generally go wherever I am needed. Throughout the year, I try to help come up with ways to improve the overall process and make it more efficient.
