Goals and interests
- Career goal
I want to become a African American Studies Professor at a university. I am planning on attending college in the fall to study for my bachelor's in History.
- Graduate school interests
I don't plan to go to grad school; After getting my Bachelor's degree I plan on getting a Master's in African American Studies and then finishing my college education with a PhD in applied sociology so that I will have all the qualifications to teach at a university.
- Outside the classroom
I like to cook and bake alot, I'm always trying out new things i've never made and normally every dish I make is a new recipe.
Experience
-
housekeeper
I currently work at a private residence for an elderly woman who just endured a leg injury so she has trouble walking and cleaning so she hired me. I work 2 days a week earning 150 every week. I maintain cleanliness and sanitation all over the house, performing tasks like dusting, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, sanitizing bathrooms, and replenishing supplies

after School mentor
I worked at an after School Program that was organized by the YMCA and was held at my local elementary school. I helped oversee a class of sixteen fourth graders for 2 and a half hours Mon-Thrus. I gave the kids daily snack, helped them with their homework, resolved conflicts, mantained a safe and fun environment and more.

Volunteering
-
I have volunteered a lot at my local church because my aunt used to work there before passing away. I've taught Sunday school classes to the kids, when they didn't have a permeant instructor. I would read them a Bible story and give them snacks and sing songs with them, sometimes we would pray or color.
