Carlos Pico

I am very motivated to continue with my education in order to continue my career advancement. Currently I work for HealthCare IT under the Information Security department. For the past 2 years I have become diverse with the security standards utilized across the industry. Also, this is a great moment for everyone to learn the cyber threats we live in nowadays in order to prevent items such as identity theft. Prior to working for Information Security, I worked within the same Hospital for the past 13 years for the Health Information Management department. I started working for this institution shortly after completing my Mechanical Engineer Associate Degree at New York City College of Technology, in 2005. In Fall 2018 i decide to return to New York City Tech with the goal of continue with the Computer Science Technology program in order to finish another Associate and continue with the Bachelor’s in Computer System Technology.

As part of the motivation to go back to college, I wanted to prove myself that there is NEVER a good or bad time to begin anything, regardless the obstacles. We can always excel as long as we plan accordingly, and we set the right expectations.
I think I have accomplished just few professional goals and my plan is to continue escalating in the IT profession.
