Goals and interests

Career goal

I have been passionate about the medical field since I was a little girl. I am striving to become a surgeon so I can use my knack of the sciences to help save lives. I plan on using my medical background and compassion to ease people into trusting me with their lives so that I can prove to them that my hard work, dedication, and passion can pull through and help them live longer and happier lives with their loved ones.

Graduate school interests

I do not mind where I go for medical school as long as I am getting the best education I can to set me up for surgery in the wold of medicine. Any school would fit as long as I am dedicated enough-which I am- but obviously I am looking at Vanderbilt, Johns Hopkins, Rice, NYU, and many more to connect me to my final bridge before I am off to save lives.

Outside the classroom

My whole life I have been dragged around moving from state to state and country to country. One thing I have noticed throughout this journey is how life essentially stays. the. same. People are still people and they need to live. I have loved science my whole life, from taking every science class offered to simply being a fan of science fiction. Insects, plants, people, and animals all fascinate me as does this. idea of life. Books have always been another huge part of my life, connecting fantasy with reality and so much more. I am also an extremely athletic person as I've played just about every spot imaginable. All of these things tie together to make me who I am and dive my passion towards medicine.

Volunteering

  • I participated in a leadership conference called the Roundsquare Conference, hosted in Bangkok Thailand. Several Nord Anglia schools from all over the world such as Tasmania, Australia, Tanzania, Florida, and so many more came and we got to know so many kids and learn about different traits of leadership through several activities. We then used these traits to volunteer together by planting rice, vegetables, and trees for an orphanage, teaching Thai kids to read and write English, making them books, and picking up trash out of bodies of water.

  • I helped organize and lead a group of kids to volunteer at a poor orphanage in Thailand through my school. Once a week we would bring them food, water and games to play with the kids and the puppies and we would help them clean their orphanage house.
