About

I am an Information Technology student at South University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with an emphasis in Cybersecurity. I currently maintain a 4.0 cumulative GPA and have earned recognition on the Chancellor’s List for six consecutive terms. After more than 30 years of experience in healthcare and additional experience in health information management, I am transitioning into cybersecurity with the same passion for helping and protecting others that has guided me throughout my professional life.
My interests include information security, social engineering awareness, threat analysis, and protecting sensitive information. I am committed to continued learning, professional certification, and developing the technical skills necessary to build a successful career in cybersecurity. Returning to college has also become an important personal achievement, demonstrating the value of perseverance, lifelong learning, and believing in my ability to accomplish new goals.

As I gain professional experience and industry certifications, I hope to advance into areas such as threat analysis, incident response, security operations, and ethical hacking. My long-term goal is to use my technical knowledge and experience to help organizations protect sensitive information, strengthen their security practices, and educate others about cybersecurity threats, including social engineering and online scams.

After completing my bachelor’s degree, I am interested in pursuing graduate education that complements my career in information technology and cybersecurity. I am currently exploring graduate programs in cybersecurity, information technology, and business administration. My goal is to select a program that will strengthen both my technical knowledge and leadership skills while supporting continued advancement in my cybersecurity career.
