About
I am currently a student at Marshall University. I am the first grandchild and child in my family to go to college. I have always been a motivated and dedicated student. I believe the only way to make the world a better place is through education. Knowledge is power. I made the decision to become an elementary school teacher based on those beliefs. Children are Americas future, so where better to start than with them?

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend to begin teaching at the elementary school I attended as child. I will get my foot through the door with my career and earn a few years of experience before I hopefully move out of state to pursue more options.
- Outside the classroom
I enjoy reading, some of my favorite books include A Farewell to Arms, The Great Gatsby, Of Mice and Men, To Kill a Mockingbird, and more.
I also enjoy writing, mostly journals, but I have written poetry and short stories in the past.
I recently took up blogging.
