About

During January of my sophomore year I became very ill. For 15 months, doctors were unable to diagnose my illness. I was in and out of the hospital. I endured multiple tests, surgeries, and procedures. For a large part of my sophomore and junior years, I was enrolled in the home hospital program, unable to attend school. My grades and friendships suffered. It was a hard time for me as I tried to keep up with my studies. During this time my grades dropped. My schedule had to be changed. I am well now and look forward to my future. Upon applying, I emailed a letter from my current doctor at Stanford. Dr. Yeh treated me at the end of my illness. I currently have a letter form Dr. Yeh explaining this time period and its effect on my education. I am willing to share this letter with anyone who would like to see it.
