About

I am currently seeking a psychology major at the University of Georgia. I'm projected to graduate by 2020, which was aided by the credits I acquired through the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, a program that shaped me and helped me grow to be the student I am today. I'm a proud IB diploma holder, and I hope to garner more academic achievement while studying.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I intend on being a counseling psychologist (psychotherapist), but I'm also interested in performing research.

Outside the classroom

In my free time, I like to read and write. I have numerous books on my "to read" list, and just as many on my "read" list, many of which I'd be more than happy to discuss, especially since my mother, one of my biggest influences, sparked my love for reading at a young age. As for writing, I have too many rough drafts of projects that I've self assigned. If I was given more time, I'd be more than happy to sit down and finish all of them, maybe even have one or two published (a dream of mine), but I don't have the time nor resources. I also used to kayak and canoe (sprint) competitively. Until I left the sport for school, I was ranked fourth in the nation for my age group, and loved the sport more than anything. Now, I still do some recreational kayaking, but I can't overexert myself due to a shoulder injury I sustained in my last few months as an athlete.
