Hopes to pursue an urgent care, ambulatory care, or family practice setting. I am beyond flexible and see any opportunity as a learning opportunity as a new graduate DNP.
I am considering returning to school for a fellowship for Emergency Medicine to become a board certified ENP, after some years of experince. This is why I am especially interested in the Urgent Care type setting.

DNP Project Thesis on pain management documentation compliance after nurses were found to be inadequately documenting pain prior to medication administration (particularly narcotics) and/or administering a dose that was not indicated according to pain level documented according to The Joint Commission in their report of the visit in 2017 to East Cooper Medical Center.
A multi-method approach to practice change will be proposed to a committee at the College of Nursing at USC on August 7, 2019.
The approach includes a modified pain management hospital policy, developed pain contract, updated checklists, staff visual reminders, staff to staff chart audits, and directed patient feedback by managerial staff.

Project is planned to GO LIVE for the implementation phase on September 9th.

In my free time, I love to travel and learn more about different cultures and foods. I love spending time in the mountains hiking!
