Catrina Lee

I am currently pursuing an associate’s degree in Communications at Fox Valley Technical College as an online student. Throughout my studies, I have developed a strong interest in nonprofit communications, digital media strategy, and community-centered storytelling. This passion has guided both my academic projects and my professional experiences.

I recently completed an internship with Hmong Hands Inc., a nonprofit supporting Hmong children with disabilities. In this role, I created social media content, managed digital outreach, and supported community engagement efforts. This experience deepened my commitment to advocating for underserved communities and strengthened my skills in communication, design, and digital media.

Today, I continue to build my experience while working as a Program Assistant at the Boys & Girls Club, where I support youth development and use my communication skills to build positive relationships. I also maintain ongoing projects in social media marketing, grant writing, and nonprofit outreach, including producing educational blog content on digital communication strategies.

My long-term goal is to work in nonprofit communication and digital media, focusing on equity, community empowerment, and culturally relevant outreach. I am motivated by the impact that strong communication can have on community awareness, inclusion, and support. This scholarship will help me continue my education and further develop the skills I need to serve my community effectively.
