About

I am currently a graduate student at Lamar University, Beaumont, TX. I am studying to become a Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a special interest in working with children, teens, young adults and their parents that are living with behavior disorders. I live in the Houston Metropolis and I grew up in Port Arthur, TX with my wonderful parents, grandparents my and two siblings, who are fraternal twins. My parents were hard working individuals that instilled wonderful values in their children regarding, education, family, life and in treating others with respect. I am widowed with two wonderful adult daughters and two adorable grandchildren.
The love that I share for my wonderful family has inspired me to enter a profession that can help others that are struggling with issues in their personal lives. I attended Lamar University many years ago and pursued my love of fashion majoring in Fashion Retailing and Merchandising. After being out of school for over 35 years and suffering many lost and setbacks in my life, at age 53 I decided to return to my Alma Mater Lamar University and completed my education majoring in Applied Arts and Sciences. After I completed my Bachelor's degree at Lamar University, I decided to continue my studies and enter graduate school majoring in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am enjoying my counseling studies and I also enjoy exercising, cooking and eating healthy meals, reading good books, decorating and being with family and friends.
