About

I take great interest in the human mind and always have, thus my interests led me to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology, (which I earned May 2015), and then go on to obtain my Master's, which is still in progress. I am a graduate student at the University of Illinois at Springfield. I am in the Human Development Counseling Program, with a concentration in Marriage & Family Therapy. This year has brought about some new and exciting changes as I joined new organizations at school and even help charter an organization on my campus which I am the Vice President for, called the Rotoract Club. In addition to this, I love to do community service because it helps keep me grounded while also helping to make a positive impact in the world. I can't wait to see what the upcoming semesters bring! I look forward to what's in store!

Goals and interests

Career goal

I plan to become a Clinical Psychologist and have my own private practice after obtaining more hands on experience and pursing a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology.

Graduate school interests

I am currently a grad school student at the University of Illinois at Springfield. I am in the Human Development Counseling program, and my area of concentration is Marriage and Family Therapy. I plan to further my grad school career by pursuing a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology immediately after.

Outside the classroom

I enjoy giving back to the community through community service both in state and out of state, and I am also in the process of starting a research project. When I am not involved in these things I am strengthening my academic experience by immersing myself in things directly connected to the human mind and overall psychology.
