About

At the ripe old age of 55, I decided it was finally time to pursue my dream of earning a Master's degree, entering the Human Capital Development program at the University of Southern Mississippi, my alma mater! I've enjoyed an amazing and fulfilling career with experience across a broad range of professions including marketing & advertising, copywriting, teaching, serving, and researching, all of which allowed me to see how the development of leadership within organizations deeply impacts its success.

Goals and interests

Career goal

With my Master's in HCD, I plan to focus on servant leadership, workforce development, dynamics of change, and performance improvement in organizations. Hopefully, this brings me into the professional setting as a "Chief People Officer," or the like. I am passionate about bringing light, learning, laughter, and fulfillment-of-purpose into the organizations in which I am involved. I crave full-time, enriching employment that engages my skills to their fullest and provides a sense of accomplishment--my optimum goal.

Outside the classroom

Listening to audiobooks and podcasts; watching documentaries or series drama (currently 1883); playing guitar and singing with my band (www.kenmoemusic.com); cooking and traveling (recently bit by the bug for RV camping!)
