About

I am a freshman in college at Brigham Young University! I am studying biomedical science! I am super motivated and excited to start my career and my education. I just got done serving two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Costa Rica! I loved my time there and most of all I loved the people! I really want to make a big difference in this world and for that reason I am going into the medical field! During my time in Costa Rica I got to serve in many leadership positions and help train and teach fellow missionaries. Over the years I have been in many leadership positions that have taught me to love others and to do my very best in everything I do! I will always show up to a job or assignment and give it my all every single time! After my time in Costa Rica I have spent the last 7 months working for a big food packing company called Pacific Coast Producers located in Lodi California. I have worked as an assistant supervisor over small department in their distribution center. There I put into practice the leadership skills I learned on my mission and was able to learn how to use excel, how to boost production speeds, and how to communicate with human resources and other leaders in the company about our employees. I was able to use the Spanish that I learned in Costa Rica to better communicate with the diversity of employees that we had. I would love to make Spanish a huge part of my career. My biggest goal is to be sucessful in all that I do and to give my all!

Honors and awards

  • national honor society

I have been in the National Honor Society since junior high! I had lots of fun but it was also a ton of work! I loved being able to serve in the community and being able to be an example to all the other students around the school.

  • Student Body Secretary

My senior year of High School I was elected student body secretary. I played a huge role in the planning of events for that school year and future years. I played a leadership role in the school by leading by example and in helping all of the students.

  • Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

At the age of 18 I went on a two year mission to preach about Jesus Christ. I went to Costa Rica and while serving there I was able to participate in many leadership roles. For about 7 months of that time I lead a group of 20 other missionaries.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I am just starting school this year, but I hope to be working as a clinical lab scientist in 5 and a half years. I will spend 3 years at Brigham Young university Idaho and then I will transfer to Brigham Young University Provo to finish my bachelors degree. I would Love to work for either Dignity Health, or Kaiser Permanente here in Northern California. I want to start working in a lab and then work my way up to work for several of their hospitals.

Graduate school interests

After my bachelors degree, I will have about a year of school which I will do at Brigham Young University Provo, and then I will come back to Northern California to do an internship at either Dignity Health or Kaiser Permanente, to be a clinical Lab scientist. During the internship I will use networking and my hard work to make sure that I have a secure job following the internship. Even after getting a job I would Love to continue my school either with an MBA or with further learning in the medical field.

Outside the classroom

I love to spend time with my family and to enjoy being around my younger siblings. I have 6 younger siblings and being with them has been one of my greatest joys in life. I also love reading books and learning as much as I can. My greatest hobby though is working. I love getting things done and knowing that I have accomplished something. That feeling of success and getting things finished has always driven me.
