About

I will be graduating this Spring from the University of Vermont with a BA in Spanish and Political Science. I have been working with local non-profit organization, Migrant Justice, fighting for economic justice and human rights amongst the migrant worker population in the dairy industry here in Vermont. I am interested in non-profit management and applying my Spanish skills where ever possible.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I have been working over the past year with an organization, Migrant Justice, located in the North End of Burlington, VT. Through this organization I have been able to apply my knowledge and passion of Latin American culture and politics to real issues facing our country and the local Vermont community. Working with migrant farmworkers and fighting for their rights has become something that feels very much a part of who I am. I would very much like to continue a career path within the non-profit world working for migrant worker's rights and acting as a third party outlet in which these communities can confide and trust in.

Graduate school interests

Masters in Non-Profit management, or a degree in community and regional planning combined with Latin American Studies

Outside the classroom

Sewing, knitting, weaving, and all fiber arts. Music--I have been a radio DJ at UVM's WRUV FM station with a show on from 4-6pm on Fridays last Fall 2015, and music is a big part of my life.
