About

Hi everyone! My name is Chelsey Robinson and I am currently enrolled at Arkansas State University. I am a non-traditional student who took a leap of faith and in the year of 2020 at the age of 31, and enrolled in college for the first time. It has been a completely life-altering decision in only the best possible ways. Through my hard word and dedication, I have excelled in my studies and I plan to continue my educational journey until I receive my Master’s Degree or Doctorate.

  • I have won several art awards that vary in type of media.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I plan to become an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) and to open my own non-profit program for youth and young adults who have experienced trauma. The nonprofit will offer a wide variety of art therapy programs, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and other various. forms of traditional therapy that will help patients to become the best versions of themselves.

Graduate school interests

I plan to continue my education until, at the very least, I receive my Master’s Degree in psychology and/or social work. I will either continue with Arkansas State, or if I'm fortunate enough to be accepted again, I hope to enroll in Columbia University's Masters of Social Work Program.

Outside the classroom

My hobbies include a little bit of everything! I enjoy crafts of all kinds, whether that’s a DIY project around the house, making jewelry, or creating luxury homemade gifts for birthdays and holidays. I also enjoy landscape and pet photography, making graphic designs, taking road trips across the country with my two dogs, and just having laid-back movie nights with my friends and family. Reading, blogging, and writing are things I passionately love as well. I recently finished a world literacy class that inspired me so much, that I kept the textbook to read for leisure, as it re-inspired my love for poetry.
