About
Born and raised in Wisconsin. I have always had a strong passion for education and a desire to serve others. Although my educational journey began a bit later in life, I have always had a passion for helping others and education. As a young mother and through different educational journeys and career opportunities it became clear that my true calling was to make a difference in the lives of others through education.
After completing my Bachelor of Science degree in Educational Studies with a remarkable 4.0 GPA, becoming a member of both the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the National Honor Society. It shows my dedication, hard work and passion throughout my academic journey.
Entering the field of public education in 2011, I embraced a diverse range of roles, allowing for opportunities to connect with students from various backgrounds and learning abilities. From supporting students in special education to spearheading a successful reading intervention program, I was able to demonstrate unwavering commitment to my students educational growth and personal development.
As a young mother, and now single mother of a teenager, I have always embraced the challenges and responsibilities that came with raising a family while pursuing my own educational and career goals. Balancing the demands of work and motherhood taught me invaluable skills in time management, organization, and resilience. With the goal of being a role model to my daughter as a top priority.
Fueled by my strong passion for education and the desire to support others in achieving their academic dreams, I made the decision to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education Academic Affairs; with the goal to equip myself with the knowledge and skills to make a broader impact in the field of education and contribute to the development of educational policies and programs.
My commitment to my studies is matched only by her dedication to my family, and I have proven to myself that I am able to strike a balance between my roles as a student, a mother, and an educator for the perfect balance.
When not immersed in my many roles, I find solace in spending quality time with family and friends and 4 dogs. I enjoy reading, crafting, gardening, and DIY home renovation projects, and most anything where my creativity and love for hands-on activities collaborate and shine.
With each step of my journey, I hope to continue to inspire those around me and never waver from my dedication to education and relentless pursuit of personal and professional growth. My desire to serve others in realizing their educational aspirations is something I am hopeful to achieve through earning my Master of Arts degree in Higher Education Academic Affairs. I look forward to a future where I am able to combine her academic knowledge, diverse experiences and innate passion for serving others to make a lasting impact on the field of higher education. I aim to create a better educational landscape for future generations, leaving a legacy that would resonate for years to come.
