Goals and interests

Outside the classroom

This is my hobbies that I like to do. I was on the NYLC's Youth Advisory Council (YAC). On the YAC I working with other youths around the nation to promoting youth leadership, youth-adult partnerships, diversity, and addressing the achievement gap through service-learning. I'm on the MN youth council. As a member we work with caring adults and focus on understanding local issues and challenges facing youth in our home communities. We work as advocates and engage in philanthropy and education/outreach in the communities. I was on the ISD 622&832 youth leadership council (YLC). On the YLC we work on important issues and program ideas linked to increasing student achievement, student leadership, service-learning opportunities, integrated learning, cultural competency, positive youth/adult relationships, student engagement in after school programs / out-of-school time, and career exploration. In school, I am on National Honor Society, Student Council, Pay If Forward (a volunteer club), Asia Student Alliance (I the Treasure for one year and Vice president) Badminton Club( I start this club with my best friend),and Relay For Life ( I'm the captain of my group). Also, I had volunteer at the ISD622 Adaptive Swimming Program for four years. An individually paced swimming that provides American Red Cross swimming lesson to children, youth, and adults with disabilities.
