About
I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (EdD) at Florida State University, where my academic work is centered on higher education leadership, equity, and student success. My doctoral studies emphasize scholarly rigor alongside practical application, preparing me to lead transformational change within educational institutions—particularly those serving rural, underrepresented, and first-generation student populations.
My Dissertation-in-Practice (DiP) focuses on the lived leadership experiences of minority female administrators in rural higher-education institutions across Florida. Grounded in qualitative inquiry—particularly narrative inquiry and phenomenological approaches—my research examines how race, gender, and institutional context intersect to shape leadership identity, opportunity, and resilience. This work is informed by critical frameworks such as intersectionality and equity-minded leadership, and it reflects my commitment to amplifying marginalized voices while contributing actionable insights to educational practice and policy.
