About
My name is Cheyenne Finley. I graduated from Lee Academy High school in Marianna, AR in 2013 and then from East Arkansas Community College in Forrest City, AR in 2016. I had ambitions to be a teacher, but when that did not work out I settled for two part time tutoring jobs at EACC and Forrest City Junior High. While these two jobs paid the bills, I wanted more. I was hired as the Student Activities Specialist at EACC in August of 2019. Shortly after, I started attending University of Arkansas at Little Rock through online courses. Working full time and attending school online is a challenge I intend to overcome with a Masters degree one day. I am a first generation college student. All thanks to my single father, who achieved his GED, who sent me to EACC kicking and screaming after graduating high school. If not for his support and belief in me, I would not be where I am today. Thank you, dad.

My top hobbies include: Reading, taking care of my dogs, and gardening. My favorite author is Stephen King and my favorite book is The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. If I am not reading a book, I miserable. I have 7 (yes, 7!) dogs. 6 Pit Bulls and 1 Chihuahua. They are my world. My chi is a rescue and one of our female pitties is a rescue. I got my husband a male pit and one thing lead to another and we had 14 puppies on our hands (with the two pits, not my chi :)) I ended up keeping 4 of the puppies and now they're all full grown. I love them very much. Gardening is a new hobby I have required to relieve my anxiety. I can't seem to keep much alive, except one cactus that looks a little sad. I still enjoy trying though!
