About
I am a highly motivated young professional, who has completed rigorous coursework in the face of multiple challenges. I work for the New York State Legislature in a the Leadership office as an Executive Writer/Correspondence Advisor, while juggling being a single parent who went and obtained her Masters online at night, during the pandemic. I am familiar with hardships and never run away from a challenge. I knew that the best path forward for me and my son would be by applying my mind and efforts in the most fruitful way, which is to continue my studies and obtain my law degree from Albany Law.
While I know that this will be difficult, I have learned how to focus and block out distractions so I can meet my goals. With the help of scholarships, I know that this will put the wind back in my sails so I can continue on this dream, with the ultimate goal of helping others, especially other young women, and becoming an advocate. I desire to use my writing skills, government knowledge and legal acumen to encourage more female leaders and to let others know that it is possible to achieve your dreams with grit, knowledge and perseverance.
When not at work or being involved in community outreach programs, I enjoy hiking in the Adirondacks, camping in the backwoods and, of course, playing with my son and puppy dog.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I currently work in a governmental role in New York State. I hope to complete my JD to become and attorney so that I can be more impactful and fully apply myself.
- Graduate school interests
I enjoy reading, hiking, learning about government and the US Constitution.
- Outside the classroom
When not in one of my many roles as writer, business owner, volunteer or mom... I love to hike the high peaks region, swim with my son, take great photographs and travel. Being out in nature and braving the elements is both an awesome joy and challenge. I feel more centered, clear-headed, connected and refreshed when I'm at the summit of a mountaintop, enjoying the beauty and nature.
