About
Before attending TAMUSA, I served 8 amazing years serving in the United States Marines Corps in Yuma, AZ and Quantico, VA. While serving I deployed once and experienced a lot, and made incredible life long friendships and brotherhoods that will be forever with me.
While attending classes at TAMUSA, I like to spend my off time reading many books; my goal is to read 100 books before the end of 2024.
I share my life and home with my wonderful boyfriend of 5 years, and our insanely incredible 4-year-old Corgi, Winston.

Assisted zookeepers in Birds 1 department with any and all tasks assigned to me. Assisted in the morning routine checks of the birds exhibit, ensuring all birds are healthy and active, utilizing B.A.R (Breathing/Bright, Alert, and Responsive). Showed an excellent attitude towards the zookeeper’s team atmosphere and I am enthusiastic to learn new things. Had little to to no supervision when preparing diets for the Birds 1 Department for the Hixon, the Ark and the Well sections. Cleaned exhibit enclosures for cleanliness and safety for birds. Assisted in the feeding process for morning and afternoon diets for bird enclosures. Replaced birds’ drinking resource with clean new waters every morning when on shift. Demonstrated an excellent initiative and positive nature when assisting the zookeepers in the husbandry of the birds. Learned and demonstrated good and professional animal safety when inside the bird enclosures. Answered questions from zoo guests about birds in the Hixon. Took initiative doing any and all dirty dishes. Assisted in the preparation of weather proofing the birds exhibits, for the inclement weather to ensure the birds warmth and safety. Observed and retained knowledge of the bird handling process. Observed and retained knowledge of the necropsy procedure when discovering a deceased bird. Zookeepers were confident when assigning me tasks, that I will accomplish the mission with little to no supervision. Listened actively and enthusiastically to zookeepers and supervisors about husbandry knowledge.
