Education

Graduate school interests: I plan to pursue my Master of Social Work (MSW) by Fall 2026. My goal is to deepen my knowledge and skills in clinical social work so I can better serve marginalized and underserved communities. I am especially passionate about community-based support services. Graduate school is not just the next step academically it’s a crucial part of fulfilling my purpose to advocate for justice, healing, and lasting change in the lives of others.
Outside the classroom: In my free time, I enjoy staying active through fitness, kickboxing, and training for endurance events such as 5Ks and half marathons. My spiritual life is important to me I regularly attend church and express my faith through praise dance. I also love relaxing by watching movies, anime, and comfort shows like Friends. Spending time with family and friends through gaming is one of my favorite ways to stay connected. Lately, I’ve taken an interest in reading as a way to slow down, reflect, and continue growing personally.

As a Park Ambassador with the Live6 Alliance, I played an active role in strengthening community engagement and revitalizing public spaces in my neighborhood. I helped organize and facilitate a variety of events aimed at bringing residents together and fostering a sense of unity. This included distributing flyers door-to-door, coordinating community movie nights, and hosting events at a newly developed park near our area. We also partnered with local organizations and institutions, including financial institutions like Chase Bank, First Merchants, Bank, and environmental groups such as Green of Detroit, to provide educational and recreational opportunities for residents of all ages. Through this role, I developed leadership, communication, and grassroots organizing skills, all while contributing to a broader mission of community empowerment and neighborhood development.
