Goals and interests

Career goal

Striving to be accepted into a prestigious medical school with an emphasis in Orthopedics. Orthopedics was the most intriguing profession I shadowed and instantly became hooked when observing in the operating room (OR). I would love to specialize in sports medicine, such as shoulders and knees, but I am open to whatever path life may take me. The main reason i chose a health care profession is because it is the occupation where i feel like i can be the best servant. Living a life of servitude has been my calling since day one, not only physically but spiritually as well. I intend to lead others in making the right choices in the medical field along with guiding my peers to allow christ into their lives.

Graduate school interests

The University of Missouri has a great grad school that i would love to attend, and i'm sure being an undergraduate at the University itself can only help my cause of getting accepted. I am al so interested in attending The University of Arkansas because they have a prestigious graduate school, and it seems like an environment where a sociable person like myself could thrive.

Outside the classroom

I love to read non-fiction novels, specifically Stephen King novels. I also enjoy spending time with my friends playing intramural sports such as flag football and basketball at the Mizzou Rec Center. Most importantly, I enjoy discovering my faith and leadership skills with my peers involved in student mobilization (stumo), which is run through the University of Missouri.
