About

My name is Cetta Panza and I am an upcoming Sophomore at Allegheny College. I am a member of the Pre-Heath Club and Service Saturdays at my institution. I also am a member of the Varsity volleyball team, and I became the first member to wear hearing aids. I overcame many heath issues during my Freshman year of college, as I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematous during my first semester. This affected my academics significantly because I had to miss more than a month of classes. However, I rebounded the second semester to achieve a 4.0 GPA. I now have a 3.547 GPA, and I am working to maintain this for the rest of my undergraduate studies.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I intend on becoming a physician or surgeon. My top interests include Neonatology, Pediatrics, and Cardiothoracic Surgery. However, I fully intent on entering Medical School with an open mind and will keep all specialties in consideration.

Graduate school interests

I am interested in many Medical Schools, but I am not set on one in particular as of right now as I have not yet visited any campuses. I am planning on visiting and looking into the medical schools at the University of Pittsburgh, University of Carolina Chapel Hill, the University Maryland, the University of Florida, and the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine.
