About
I am currently a Pre-Med student at the University of Texas at Arlington. As a Biology major my class schedule is difficult at times, but working at my grandfather's ranch has taught me to never give up and do all things to the best of my ability. My grandfather would most definitely be my role model, as he has been practicing medicine for over 50 years and continues to run a 2000 acre ranch. I strongly believe that if you do not enjoy something you will not push yourself to be your best. Fortunately for me, I truly enjoy being a Pre-Med student, which I hope will give me a leg up in the competitive field. I have also found that not all knowledge can be obtained in a classroom or in a library. I have shadowed Dr. T. Ward Locklear and Dr. Martin, both from Brownwood, Texas. Another out of class learning experience would be volunterring at Mission Arlington, a part of Mission Metroplex. The organization collects and donates items, such as clothing and furniture, to families in need. Even though I have many stories to tell and old experiences to light the path for new adventures, I know I am only at the beginning of my journey. I can only hope that the best is yet to come.
